so, this will be the last post for a little while, as I will be on holiday for a while in Turkey, so I shall leave you with this..

Cutterred Flesh - Torture Is Medicine
Cutterred? Really? Okay, so the grammar police out there will have a field day with this, but so will those who like their full on death metal, it's got a fair amount of slam to it, and a huge amount of gurgles and nasty vocals to please the brutalists.
Corpse Carving - Grotesque Goratorium
Dirty. Disgusting. Horrible. Filthy. Just how we like it! Gritty gore grind for those who like Jig-ai, Cock And Ball Torture, Ahumado Granujo etc.
datachi - 10110101 [rec+play]
Some broken up electronic weirdness going on here from Datach'i, equal parts noisy, blippy, breaky, with a few dashes of nice in there as well. Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher fans, get up and get listening.
Enmity - Illuminations Of The Vile Engorgement
So, an intro as track 5? Well, apparently! I checked a couple of sites like Metal Archives and the like, and it seems to be right, so not sure if this is something of a discography or collection or what, but, well, it doesn't REALLY matter. What DOES matter is the fact that is utter battery in death metal form. With titles like 'Bloated slabs', 'Charred, Mutilated, Dislimbed, and 'Facial Carvings' you must know roughly what you're going to get, a total barrage of blasting drums, relenting vocal excretions and monster chugs to break things up.
Dataclast - Cubical warfare - 9.99 demo
Digital grinders will get their kicks from this. Very strange but well worth a listen. Quite disturbing in places. 22 minutes, 13 songs, worth a quick viewing if you like it with fast beats, noisy riffs and twisted vocals.

Clang pages!
Esoteric - Subconscious_Dissolution_Into_The_Continuum
THIS is the beastiest doom band of them all. No argument. I don't even care if 'beastiest' is a word or not, I'm using it! It can't possibly get heavier than these and remain coherent and still atmospheric. Absolutely crushing stuff here, the first song is more oppressive and more overwhelming than most band's entire discographies, and just keeps on crushing and battering and overpowering, even once it has you in submission, it doesn't care. It just keeps on going.
Eternal Suffering - Drowning In Tragedy
Old style brutal slamming death metal, worth it just for the first sample and song. Some of it sounds a little bit generic stompy nu-death-metal nowadays, but at the time it was heavy as anything! Fans of Dying Fetus should get involved in this.
falkenbach - Heralding The Fireblade
Great atmospheric, folk ladened black metal. If you like Enslaved, Drudkh, Wodensthrone and all that business then you should give these a listen.
(another alternate cover i'd never seen before, i really like this one though so thought it was worth posting up)
enslaved - Frost
Utterly classic black metal from these Norwegian (now) prog black metal legends. I'm not AS keen on what they're doing now, because their earlier releases, with their 13 minute songs, 5 riffs, absolutely intense as thundering hell all the time, harsh vocals and big stomping riffs are far more what I want to be listening to, but, they're incredible song writers, so they could be writing actual pop songs and still be doing them well, and their later, more progressive, nicer sounding output is still fantastic to listen to, but this is just immense.

Ekkaia - Sombras Del Progreso
Absolutely highest quality emotional dark crustified hardcore style stuffs. Ekkaia are actually one of the best bands of this genre I think.
Eardelete - Zombielogy
And here is their more recent one, another class release. Get your bounce on!
Eardelete - Scalpelogy
I've been listening to this lot loads in the last few months, and they're awesome. If you like your bouncy gore-grind a la Cock And Ball Torture, Rompeprop etc., then add these to your list.
Dying Fetus - Killing On Adrenaline
Surely Dying Fetus need no introduction? Well, okay, they may do for those with a more general or less heavy or newer brain to it all.
Death metal but with huge grooves and slower chunky sections thrown in. Basically the blueprint for what deathcore is now, but, better.
This is one of their earlier ones, and there are some classics on it, so, get it.
Drumcorps - Grist
Completely insane electronic cut up remixing of things like Botch, Converge and more. If you like those sort of bands, and also love things like Venetian Snares, then this may be your favourite thing ever.
deadguy - Fixation On A Coworker
Angry! Absolute pure, unadulterated anger. This sect of musicians have been involved in some of the most revolutionary, vicious, scene altering sounds. Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Rorschach, Human Remains, then the tree sprouts off in directions including Discordance Axis, Burnt By The Sun and such like.
I remember my mate Miggy coming round with this album on vinyl, simply saying 'You're going to love this!', and within about 10 seconds of hearing the first earth shattering riffs, I did! What a record. This is pure catharsis. If you're in a good mood, this will kill it. This will make you hate everything around you. This will make you feel alive.
Some of the harshest, most disturbing sounds commited to record are on this album.
Deformity - Misanthrope
This is one of the records that totally changed the hardcore scene, especially the straight edge one, and the shame is that most people won't even know who Deformity are, and if they do, they may not even know this EP! Criminal.
So, this is deathcore. This is how it SHOULD sound. Yes, it's death metal, thrashy, hardcore related, but it's not deathcore in the sense that folks know it now with all the single handed, chugga chugga nonsense, breakdowns that are thrown in that don't make sense, and generic, boring, over played riffs that Dying Fetus came up with in the practice room and decided to ditch.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not a total hater of the style. I haven't jumped on the alternative band wagon that is against it all just because it's labelled so. There are tons of awesome releases that people and their blinkeredness will miss out on, but, hey, that's their loss I guess.
Anyway, this one. Belgian death thrash hardcore stuff. Absolutely mint riff fest, and all the things they did after, which got even more deathly, are very much required listening, but, get your ears around this.

dawn - Nær Solen Gar Nider For Evogher
For years, I had both this and Slaughtersun on CD, and only really listened to this a couple of times. I thought it was a pretty good album, but, then 'Slaughtersun' always seemed a better prospect for listening to, so would always opt for that.
Now, many more years down the line, I've started listening to this one a lot more, and it's absolutely amazing! Some great riffs, brilliantly pieced together songs, top class atmospheres. Simply, this is a great black metal album.
Dawn - Slaughtersun
...but, is it as good as THIS one!? Well, I'll say no, for now, but that's because I've listened to it that many times. For black metal fans, this is a mandatory piece of listening. So, I'll not whitter on any more, just get it listened to!

It's been a busy few days on here...
...and now I'm tired.
I don't think there'll be any more posts for a few days, despite there being tons more lined up to post, so, if you happen across these pages over the week, thank you for having a look, and so, now, you have time to look back throughout the last three months worth of posting, there's absolutely tons of goodies, profiles, gigs, videos to watch, downloads to have (legal ones that bands are spreading around too, if you're not into the 'other' kind of download that knocks about on t'internets!)
Our facebook group has started off well, so if you use FB, please add us (link is on the right hand side), come say hello, and any word spreading about this blog, as ever, is well appreciated.
I'll leave you with a few things that entertain me heartily...
(P.S. In light of the above cartoon... I know I start a lot of sentences in lower case, and speak in my accent, a wrong I shall right over the coming weeks. i.e. this blog shall be proof read and sorted out 'good 'n' propa like!' Ta ta folks).

Profile - Blame Keiko - Midlands drum / bass combo weirdness.
Blame Keiko on Myspace
Here we have some Brum noisies, just a drum and bass ensemble, and there are two EPs uploaded in this post. Get them both checked out. 'Eternal sunshine' is an older one, and a more noisy affair with some interesting ideas from a band finding their sound I think, whereas the self titled EP is a lot more structured, riffy, confident sounding, with sludgier elements and having more coherence. If you are into the Lightning Bolt sort of sound realm then give these some of your time and see what you think.

Also, here is a video they did for the song 'Toba', which is a pretty mint watch as it goes. Teasing swines!
