datachi - 10110101 [rec+play]

Some broken up electronic weirdness going on here from Datach'i, equal parts noisy, blippy, breaky, with a few dashes of nice in there as well. Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher fans, get up and get listening.

Drumcorps - Grist

Completely insane electronic cut up remixing of things like Botch, Converge and more. If you like those sort of bands, and also love things like Venetian Snares, then this may be your favourite thing ever.

Get them all, line them up in Winamp, and get enjoying.

The previous post tells you about them, this lets you in on their sound. they're recording with the full line up (which includes a veritable machine of a drummer they have recently acquired from the Czech Republic to replace their ACTUAL drum machine sounds), so the next one promises to be absolutely blistering.

'XVI Suns'

'Sneaky Meat'

ah cama-sotz - The House of the Lordh

So, I hinted at this earlier with the comedy black metal picture. Mostly uploaded for one song, the absolutely head crushing 'Crucifixion of the Flesh', but the whole thing (and whole back catalogue of AC-S for that matter) is quality. Dark ambient weirdness at its best.

acrid - Eighty-Sixed

straight edge black metalcore? well, not far off..
canadian band acrid have one of the most downright filthy, disgusting, harsh sounds that kicked about in the general hardcore scene many years back.

When the likes of earth crisis, poison the well, integrity and snapcase were doing bigger and more mainstream things, this was bubbling and gurgling and sickening folks beneath the surface. everything goes on this album, from ultra disturbing black metal in the shape of the mighty 'kisses & whistles' to various techno breaks and monstrous hardcore breakdowns, blasts and inhuman vocal weirdness. hurrah!

oh, and if you want this to be made even cooler and worth checking out.. members of acrid have also been involved with cursed, left for dead, the swarm, chokehold, grade and more! have at ye!

squarepusher - port rhombus ep

electro / bass / broken up beats along the lines of aphex twin (but then interviews with richard d. james reveal it was squarepusher that inspired aphex twin's change of style). utterly amazing, very old ep, super cool yo! ;-)

autechre - amber

one of the finest electro / ambient / chill / records ever. includes the godly 'piezo', which, for those into their black metal, if you listen to this followed by burzum's 'det som engang var' masterpiece, you may notice more than just a passing similarity!

whilst it was posted on lovely time's blog, this album had 500 downloads, get involved. it's a classic piece of electronica.

Disco At The Morgue - Cut The Slut EP

http://www.myspace.com/discoatthemorgue

Really nice, rather groovy, chilled out electronica that would be industrial if it was crunchy enough, but it just slides along, and makes you move your head in slightly weird directions for a while. Very dark overtones, quality samples, and just, dead good! Worth a quick listen at the very least!

Track Listing
1. Trampled by the Horde
2. State of Shit
3. Infestation
4. Hillbilly Hooker
5. Swim Through Soil
6. Dead Date Rape
7. Z Thang

Split - 3 way Noise / Ambient split - Incandescence, Quenched From The Vile, The Child Molesting Fag Group

3 members of extreme metal bands have joined together to make a 3 way split of noise / dark ambient / experimental weirdness.

paul (reth / diascorium) is incandescence
tom (infected disarray / twitch of the death nerve) is quenched from the vile
sam (ingested) is the child molesting fag group

3 way split has landed.. 60+ minutes of strangeness..

(nkn-dsns)
n.
1. The emission of visible light by a hot object.
2. The light emitted by an incandescent object.
3. A high degree of emotion, intensity, or brilliance.
One man music/remixing project based at the centre of the Universe.

So, this is my proudest post so far. Incandescence is my own ambient, electro, weird outlet. It has been for a number of years now. Essentially this music is for me. It has everything in there that I like to listen to, electronica wise anyway. For me there are huge soundscapes, noisy parts, nice parts, weird rhythms, polyrhythms, pure ambient, unsettling sections, quality samples, interesting riffs and ideas, the works. Someone else may not agree, but, generally the response has been pretty good to my work, and so I'd like to share it all a bit more with you awesome people.

This may sound like me just trying to promote it fully, but, to get the most out of Incandescence, download all of it! There's going to be something in there for you if you give it a chance. Some of the albums are shorter songs, weirder ideas, more coherent or instant. Some of the albums are just one long track, soundscapes, 60-70 minute long pieces that fluctuate and pull me in, take my brain around odd places, around nice places, those sort of tracks where you have to just listen, give it all you have, and trust it.

I am definitely very proud of the Incandescence project, even right down to the Extras EP at the end, which is a collection of a few songs that didn't make it onto previous releases, but I still feel those songs have something to offer, so check it all out.

For the meantime, Incandescence is in a coma. I've stripped back my life and projects vastly over the years, and the only musical outlet I have now is the 2010 formed Diascorium (stuff coming later), so for now, you get all the Incandescence releases in one go, aside from the 3 way split, which comes next...

I won't give full descriptions of each album, despite being sorely tempted to do so, I'm sure you can work out which ones are long track soundscape style things, or shorter, more varied song based albums, but like I say, get them all, delete what you don't like. You might as well, it's all free.

If you know anyone into electro, ambient, weird, noise, film scores, soundscapes, vaguely industrial beats, rhythmical stuff, please pass this link onto them, it would be hugely appreciated.

Anyway, on with the FREE STUFF!!! That's why you came here...
